OSB Boat Lift 30 mT
To transfer crew to and from raising and moving boats is always a risky operation. The most important goal is preventing hazardous situations at all times. OSB Boat Lift developed by the team of Offshore Boarding is the most unique and advanced lifting system for the offshore industry.
OSB Boat Lift is able lift vessels, with a maximum deadweight of 30 mT, out of the water without the interference of deckhands, while placing the crew boat along or on the deck of an offshore platform.
The system is specially designed to prevent accidents caused by climbing-up or down a Bosuns’ Ladder or steel net from a crew boat to a platform or vice versa. OSB Boat Lift can also compete with the expensive transportation of crewmembers by helicopter to and from coastal bases. Although the transfer time maybe higher investment and operating costs are many times less.
The captain of the crew boat has full control over the lifting cycle using a handheld device and remains in permanent contact with deck supervisor of the platform.

OSB Boat Lift XS
The OSB Boat Lift XS is an advanced designed release mechanism for Fast Rescue Crafts (FRC’s) and provides an alternative for the conventional hook-and-eye release mechanism often used on Fast Rescue Crafts (FRC’s). The hook-and-eye release mechanism is known for it’s many accidents. Offshore Boarding developed a ball-and-catch mechanism called the OSB Boat Lift XS based on the larger Boat Lift design.
The systems design load is 3mT, which represents the weight of a FRC loaded with approximately 10 persons.
Since it is a part of a Life-Saving Appliance the system is verified according the rules and regulations stated under the Marine Equipment Directive or MED where the LSA Code 2017 provides the predominant rules followed. OSB Boat Lift XS is certified according to SOLAS 1974 and LSA Code and a LR Type Approval Certificate is issued.
